IC Federal Credit Union, one of the largest Credit Unions in the State of Massachusetts, is seeking an Assistant Branch Sales and Service Manager. The Assistant Branch Sales and Service Manager is primarily responsible for providing excellent, efficient, and accurate sales and service activities to the membership of the Credit Union. They assist in the management of the sales, operations, service delivery performance, and member profitability as assigned to branch; monitor the performance of sales, cross selling, and product referral programs designed by the Branch Sales and Service Manager to strengthen and retain member relationships while improving member profitability; originates and closes consumer loans, equity loans and mortgage loans.

Other responsibilities of this position will include performing any teller and platform transactions while adhering to all Credit Union policies and procedures, following all Federal Regulations, opening and closing deposit accounts, opening and maintain IRA accounts, originating loans, and closing loans and cross selling and servicing the Credit Union’s products and services.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • As required and on a regular basis, participate in the credit union’s training programs. Ensure that all security and regulatory standards are being maintained and followed.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management.
  • Actively participate in the selling and servicing of all credit union products and services.
  • Assist and direct members in the appropriate usage of the credit union’s various service delivery channels. Efficiently respond to members inquiries.
  • As needed, assist in the sales and services training of personnel.
  • Assists Branch Manager in all employee operations and management responsibilities.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals of the branch goals.
  • Enhance corporate image by participating in outside community activities.
  • Originate loans by interviewing members and preparing loan applications.
  • Perform various platform responsibilities including opening new accounts, name and address changes, account maintenance, stop payments, research, and other inquiries members’ request.
  • Perform various teller transactions (e.g. withdrawals, deposits, loan payments, etc.) and ensure that assigned cash is maintained, balanced and secured according to the standards outlined in the credit union’s policy manuals. Daily scanning of teller work (addition to job description)
  • Responsible for the opening, balancing, auditing and securing of the vault cash. Assist other individuals in buying and selling as well as the receiving and shipping of cash and coins.
  • In Managers absence, supervise staff and manage branch office.
  • Ensuring efficient operations of Branch functions. Required to maintain current knowledge of all credit union products and services.
  • Inform members of lending decisions and related loan conditions.
  • Prepare all loan documentation for closing and ability to meet with membership to facilitate loan closings.
  • Responsible for identifying cross sell opportunities, and to refer to the appropriate individual.
  • Answer Telephone calls from members concerning personal accounts, IC Credit Union products and services and resolving member’s problems.
  • Ensure that all members are being serviced in a positive manner.
  • Coach and motivate staff to meet established individual/branch goals.
  • Adhere to security and operational policies and procedures.
  • Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) number to be maintained.
  • Satisfactorily completes all required compliance training and complies with all regulations that apply within the scope of the position.

Job Skill Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus additional coursework in related areas.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Three to five years’ experience in a credit union, bank or sales environment.
  • Knowledgeable in the areas of consumer lending and human resources.
  • Ability to supervise others effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in all areas, outstanding interpersonal skills, and solid personal computer skills.
